Whilst sitting in for Bill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham had occasion to interview The Freedom From Religion Foundation’s Annie Laurie Gaylor (who runs the anti-Christian support group along with Dan Barker).

“In this corner is the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist anti-Christian support group, and in the other corner is the very foundation upon which the country in which the FFRF was established is based: the freedom of religious expression…”

When it comes to morality, Freethought / Humanism require one to act within certain parameters, at least in theory.
This is granted as the very concept of morality presupposes, by definition, certain parameters, at least in theory.
But why reference “Freethought / Humanism” and why state “at least in theory”?

Dan Barker once stated, “Timothy McVeigh, a God believing Catholic, blew up that Federal building…why is no one calling the Oklahoma City bombing suspects ‘Christian terrorists’?”

I must admit that I cannot figure out what Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor (of the Freedom From Religion Foundation) are up to, nor whether their most recent allotment of 15 minutes of fame are advantageous for them or not.1

I think that the only thing to be said is that this speaks for itself…

No this little clip does not get to the substance, the meat, of the debate with James White (of Alpha and Omega Ministries) but it is just quite the oddity especially considering that Dan Barker has engaged in hundreds of debates.

US Postal Service due to issue a stamp commemorating Mother Teresa, a proposal to which Freedom From Religion Foundation is objecting.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation was established in the USA which is a nation that was premised upon the concept of freedom of religious expression.

…at least when it is convenient that is, until they are challenged at which time they switch to the weak, almost certain, 99% sure, etc. sect/denomination of atheism:

Richard Dawkins, “God is not dead. He was never alive in the first place.”

PZ Myers, “gods don't exist.”

William Provine, “There are no gods, no purposes, and no goal-directed forces of any kind.”

Michael Shermer, “there is no God, intelligent designer, or anything resembling the divinity.”

Maybe it will take this time, maybe he really will…

I thought that Dan Barker would sue Barack Obama and sue George Washington but he did not, he comes close but not too close.

As with the post Dan Barker Sues Barack Obama this is a fantasy scenario involving what would happen if Dan Barker, the ACLU, etc. were consistent—clearly a fantasy.

After reading below you may conclude that a postmortem impeachment may be in order.

Sure, many of us know the story of the Pilgrims and the Natives and the shared meal, etc.
However, let us consider George Washington's 1789 AD thanksgiving proclamation:

At least that is the headline which I expect any day now since Barack Obama has broken the first demand-ment of the Freedom From Religion Foundation: thou shall not display “religious” objects/sentiments on government property.

Too bad that Thomas Jefferson knew of no such law.

Let us simply state, “Stick a fork in them, for they are done.” This is the very last straw of the very many straws that they have been offered so as to build even a little bail of respectability.
The year 2010 AD will see the gathering of the “Global Atheist Convention” in Melbourne, Australia. This meeting of the best, the brightest and those who abscond from debate is titled, “The Rise of Atheism” and billed as the “biggest ever atheist event in Australia’s history.”

As the nation remembers the terrible events of 15 years ago when Timothy McVeigh bombed the Oklahoma City federal building, killing 168 people and injuring more than 600 let us also recall that Dan Barker took advantage of the occasion to openly, proudly, and loudly express both his ignorance and the anti-Christian prejudice whereby he defines his atheism.
