Spotting #fakenews: same sex wedding denials & celebrities refuse Trump inauguration performance

There are various lists foaling about cyberspace of celebrities who will not perform yet, a close look reveals that some will be out of the country (KISS), some take issue with the lack of tax releases (Moby), etc., etc., etc.
Yet, I was most interested in personages exampled by Jennifer Holliday who initially was going to but then pulled out. Previously, she sang in relation to Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.

She initially stated, “I’m singing on the mall for the people…it’s a welcome concert for the people on the mall” and “I’m not singing for Donald Trump; I’m singing to welcome the people of America” power to the people—good thus far.
She also made clear that “I don’t have a dog in this fight — I’m just a singer” which is proven by the fact that she has sung for Democrats and Republicans.

So, beyond being of service to the people in general, she made this a point about racism: in a good way, “He cannot be the only face that’s gonna represent us. And just to have all white people up there singing is not going to be a fair representation either. So you’re just saying don’t go? Really? I’m just very disheartened by it that it would be so much hate.” Indeed, she sought some racial balance (even though there is one race: the human race).

Yet, she then apologized for being all rational and stuff, “for being uneducated on the issues that affect every American at this crucial time in history and for causing such dismay and heartbreak to my fans” but what was that issue. Well, it was not performing for the people, all people so what?

She stated:

Regretfully, I did not take into consideration that my performing for the concert would actually instead be taken as a political act against my own personal beliefs and be mistaken for support of Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
In light of the information pointed out to me via the Daily Beast article on yesterday, my only choice must now be to stand with the LGBT Community and to state unequivocally that I WILL NOT PERFORM FOR THE WELCOME CONCERT OR FOR ANY OF THE INAUGURATION FESTIVITIES!

It is as I have argued time and again: there is a vast difference between the friendly neighborhood LGBTQP personage next door, on the one hand, the LGBTQP activist movement, on the other hand.
The movement actually turns LGBTQP into not only a sexual preference and but a lifestyle and a worldview. So powerful is this movement that they even get non-LGBTQP personages to take on the LGBTQP worldview as their own. I am referring to deciding between all things such as politics, theology, ethics, etc. based on what the politics, theology, ethics, etc. has to say on the one issue of LGBTQP. Such is the case with Jennifer Holliday who actually trumps her views on race relations and performing for all people in order to cater specifically to the LGBTQP movement.

But, pray tell, what was stated in the referenced article? It was originally titled, “Jennifer Holliday will perform at Trump’s inauguration, which is heartbreaking to gay fans.” Well, American’s love an underdog which is why an extreme minority can become tyrannical.
The title has been updated to Jennifer Holliday Pulls Out of Trump Inauguration, Apologizes to LGBT Community and notes, “Jennifer Holliday’s career is marked by survival. It’s why she’s an icon. Specifically, it’s why she’s a gay icon.”
The article ironically notes that this is “an age defined by reactionary histrionics and emotional melisma” and yet, the point of the article and her backing out is precisely due to “reactionary histrionics” as in being hysterical “exaggerated dramatic behavior designed to attract attention” and “emotional melisma” which refer to being monosyllabic, technically, “singing of a single syllable.”

The article refers to “the gay community that has bolstered Holliday” and that “the news feels like a betrayal” even though Bill Clinton opposed same sex “marriage” as did Hillary and Barack Obama until he approved of it right before he needed votes (see Pawns equal votes: Obama and same-sex marriage).

She has stated, “I became more so associated with the gay community because my music, I think, is the kind that pulls you through. A lot of people say to me, ‘Your album got me through this particular time when I was just coming out.’” I would imagine that non-LGBTQP people never stated to her that her album got them through a particular time when they were going though what have you.

Jennifer Holliday also stated, “They’re the ones who carried the legacy of Dreamgirls way beyond with impersonations and pageants, so it lived in the gay community for many, many years. Otherwise it would not be a movie. It wouldn’t have been anything if it had not been for the gay community.”
Also, “I used to be able to work with the gay clubs without a record and not work anywhere else.”

Missing from the article is not only specific or even generic reasons as to why we are to believe that there is enmity between Trump and LGBTQP or visa versa. In fact, the article notes, “in the Los Angeles Times, Trump has appeared compassionate to the LGBT community” and “in a 60 Minutes interview [stated] that he has no intention to put in motion the overturning of the Supreme Court’s 2015 decision on marriage equality.”

But as the article notes, “that’s not where LGBT rights end” and it seems to be a case of approve, pander, promote and elevate the LGBTQP community in 100% of what they want de jour 100% of the time or be thou condemned. For examples, “protections for LGBT workers” is mentioned. Moreover, they note that Trump “supported provisions that would make it legal to deny services to LGBT individuals based on religious beliefs.” Do you see what I mean? Now, LGBTQP trumps all.
So that if you are a Muslim who was raised a Muslim, have thus practiced Islam all of your life, believe in the Qur’an, Allah and Muhammad then the LGBTQP community demands that the US government forces you to pander to them in violation of everything that you have believed your entire life.

Perhaps someone can ask the article’s author Kevin Fallon (found on Twitter here) and Jennifer Holliday (found on Twitter here) why neither of them mention the terribly irony that the LGBTQP community complains when they are denied certain services or socio-theo-politico reasons such as “wedding” photography and cakes and then celebrate when people are fired, have their businesses such down, etc. but now they celebrate when the people for whom Holliday claimed to want to perform are denied certain services for socio-theo-politico reasons of their own.

Lastly, as you can see in my article Susana Martinez, gay marriage, discrimination and prejudice I showed how the whole refusal of LGBTQP “wedding” photography and cake refusal was just a #fakenews.
