New Atheist in the Park — by Backwoods Boom Town Productions
An obviously very talented friend has just cyber published this comic, “Sweet and holy mother of Dawkins!” what a line :o)
The same fellow also did a few other atheism related illustrations that I have used here and there in my essays.
These include one about Richard Dawkins' true, fearful of debate, persona as well as one about worldview and internet atheists.
In the near future I will load up a post with a few of them.

A bit over the top...
Wading Across (not verified) — Mon, 07/12/2010 - 11:51ambut, that's part of the point. And similar to Frank Norman, I too have only had harsh experiences with atheists online. To my face they tend to be pretty rational and friendly... but I guess it depends upon the situation. Most of those I've met online were in forums that were inclined either to Christians or Atheists, and when you're in their "lair", they feel no problems lashing out with almost as much drama as the cartoon above imagines.
Animals
FrankNorman (not verified) — Sun, 07/11/2010 - 2:03pmIn my experience at least, Atheists are that obnoxious only over the Internet. I've never met one that behaved like that in person. But then, I don't live in North America.
In terms of "civic morality", that bozo went over a line when he grabbed an item of someone else's property and damaged it, and another line when he physically threatened the other person by grabbing his shirt like that.
If I met someone reacting like that at the mere sight of a Bible, I'd suspect he was psychologically disturbed in some way. Perhaps even demon-possessed or on some seriously bad drugs. (drugs which made him hallucinate himself and others as animals?)
But what bothers me: I can't figure out what kind of animal Mr Pushy Insecure Atheist is supposed to be. My first guess was a bear, but the rat-like tail doesn't match. Not a Kzin, surely? Or is he an opossum?
In order for something to be
Reynold (not verified) — Sun, 07/11/2010 - 8:39amIn order for something to be humorous, I find that it generally has to have at least some basis in reality; I've never heard of an atheist wigging out just by hearing the gospel as in the last panels here.
Hey, Joe:
If you think that I "don't really comprehend the concept of humour", I could make jokes about your religion and see if you find them funny.
Some theists do, some don't. Some atheists will find that cartoon funny, some don't. Only I know from his other writings, that Mariano does not do this just as harmless humour. I'm taking that into account.
Otherwise, I'm just pointing out why, as an individual, I don't find the cartoon funny.
(Especially the "furry" thing...what's up with that?)
Great work you have here
Kyrie Eleison (not verified) — Sat, 07/10/2010 - 12:43pmVery good work you have here. I have linked your site back to a youth ministry site I have started working on.
Thanks and Blessings
Got to use it
Paige (not verified) — Sat, 07/10/2010 - 12:02pmI know some guys who will love to hate this cartoon.
It will be up on my page for the weekend.
Awesome!
Sharkey (not verified) — Sat, 07/10/2010 - 9:46amI always wondered what Jack Chick would be like with a furry obsession...
Can't wait to see more stories that take place in this interesting, backwards fantasy land, full of obnoxious atheists and quiet Christians!
Hmmm. so how many of you have
Reynold (not verified) — Sat, 07/10/2010 - 9:37amHmmm. so how many of you have had atheists grab your bibles out of your hands and throw them in the junk bin?
The only time people I've seen act up about religion in public are guys like the krishnas and the christians who "talked" with them.
You know, those annoying street preacher types.
hmmm
mark (not verified) — Sat, 07/10/2010 - 10:31amAthesit being jerks? O about 99.9999 percent.
I guess you don't really
Joe (not verified) — Sat, 07/10/2010 - 9:58amI guess you don't really comprehend the concept of humor.

Just in case anybody wants to know, if you right-click and select "View Image" the images won't be stretched so vertically and will appear the way they should've looked (albeit scaled down considerably from the original size).
God bless and I hope you enjoy!
